California Voters’ View on Water Storage
A public opinion poll, conducted this spring, found healthy support among likely California voters for shoring up the state’s water storage system. The poll’s findings indicate that California voters have a solid understanding of where their water comes from as well as the variability of the state’s climate and its impact on water supply.
Stand-out findings from the poll include:
- 83% of polled voters believe water supply shortage due to drought is a top concern
- 73% believe California should invest more in water storage infrastructure
- 78% believe California needs more water storage in the future
